On 27 February 2010, the Mariinsky Theatre will be presenting the premiere of a new version of Harald Lander’s Etudes to music by Carl Czerny. A much-admired 20th century classic, Etudes was created in 1948 for the Danish Royal Ballet. It was premiered at the Mariinsky Theatre in April 2003. Lise Lander, the choreographer’s widow and copyright holder of the work, invited Johnny Eliasen to be the ballet master for the new version of the production.
